My Reflection
Born under the brilliant glow of the West 76 comet, I’d like to think I emerged into this world with a radiant spirit, as if touched by the sun’s golden rays. From the very beginning, my eyes sparkled with boundless optimism and an unwavering zest for life. With a bright-eyed and bushy-tailed outlook, I navigated through life’s twists and turns with enthusiasm and a determination to make each day better than the last ensuring everyone should and could do their best.
I will be candid and quite honest; my life has not resembled a radiant rose garden, in fact quite the opposite. Adversity seemed to assault me from all directions, yet I met each challenge head-on with the tenacity and grit of a champion. However, several years ago, I found myself in the midst of a series of profound personal loss, feeling as if life had mercilessly chewed me up and spat me out, leaving me clinging to the edge of existence. In the depths of my despair, my heart shattered into a million pieces, leaving me teetering on the edge of emotional collapse. It felt as though I was merely keeping myself together by a fragile thread, desperately trying to contain the fragments of my broken heart.
